How do you make such great tasting pasta?

The Pasta Montana plant is located next to a General Mills durum mill featuring the latest semolina milling technology available. Receiving wheat from country elevators throughout central Montana, this mill provides Pasta Montana with custom-selected and milled semolina. The semolina is delivered on demand via a sealed, pneumatic conveying system between our two facilities.

Close proximity to a sophisticated milling facility enables Pasta Montana to operate on a just-in-time basis, reducing inventory carrying costs and ensuring fresh semolina that retains its color and delicious nutty flavor (because it has not had an opportunity to oxidize and dry out).

In addition to General Mills, Pasta Montana works directly with local grain growers to obtain crops with particular characteristics that may be needed by our customers.
