Pasta Montana began production in the Fall of 1997. The premise behind the creation of Pasta Montana was a simple one... Make the world’s finest pasta using an artistic blend of wheat, water, technology and passion.

In early 1999, Nippon Flour Mills (Japan’s oldest industrial flour miller and a leading producer of flour-related products for industrial, food service and consumer use in Japan and elsewhere) joined Pasta Montana’s growing list of export customers. Already committed to developing world-class products for world-wide markets, Nippon recognized the global potential of our high-quality pasta manufacturing capabilities, and made the strategic decision to purchase Pasta Montana in the Spring of 2000.

Today, Pasta Montana continues in the tradition of making the world’s finest pasta products with all the technical, management, and financial resources of a global corporation behind it.
